Digital Marketing for
Private and Corporate Security

Nobody shops for a security company casually. The person searching has a mandate, a budget and somebody above them who will ask why this supplier was chosen. Your job online is to be findable, and then to be defensible.

Your reality

How a security contract is actually awarded.

This industry does not behave like the rest of local business, and the marketing that works for a restaurant will do very little for you.

01

Low volume, extremely high value

Far fewer people search for a security company in a month than search for a restaurant in an hour. That sounds like bad news and it is the opposite: nearly every one of those searches is a real buyer with a real budget, and a single contract can run for years. The economics of this industry mean a handful of enquiries a month changes your year.

02

Your buyer has to justify choosing you

The person who contacts you is rarely the person who signs. They will forward your website to a director, a committee or an owner, and be asked why this company. Everything on your site is really written for that second conversation, which is why vague claims about excellence and commitment do you so much damage. They give your contact nothing to argue with.

03

Discretion is part of what you sell

You cannot publish client names, sites you protect or the faces of a protection detail, and you should not. That rules out the case studies and photography most industries lean on, so credibility has to be built another way: licences, certifications, years operating, headcount, coverage, response times, screening and training standards. Specific and verifiable beats confidential and vague.

04

They are checking you before they call

A buyer evaluating who guards their building, their executives or their event will look for your registration, search your company name alongside words like incident and complaint, and look up whoever runs the company. Nothing to find is itself an answer. An industry built on trust cannot afford to be anonymous online.

What goes wrong

The four mistakes we see most in security.

These are close to universal in this sector, which is exactly why fixing them separates you so quickly.

01

A website that says nothing checkable

Committed to excellence, highly trained personnel, the security your company deserves. Every competitor says the same words, so they carry no information. Replace them with the things a buyer can verify: what you are licensed for, how long you have operated, how many officers you field, how you screen and train them, how fast you respond, what you are insured for.

02

Stock photographs of men in dark suits

The same images appear on security company sites in a dozen countries, and a professional buyer recognises them instantly. You cannot photograph client sites, but you can photograph your own: your control room, your training, your vehicles, your uniforms, your leadership team. That is real, it is discreet, and almost nobody does it.

03

Leadership with no professional presence

In this industry the background of whoever runs the company is a major part of the decision. Military or police service, years in the sector, certifications. If a buyer searches your director and finds nothing, that absence is doing work against you. This is one of the few sectors where LinkedIn is a genuine sales asset rather than a formality.

04

Treating a corporate buyer like a walk-in

A contact form that asks for a name and a message, answered in three days, loses to the competitor who replies the same morning with something the buyer can circulate internally. A short capability document, clear service pages by type of protection, and a fast answer matter more here than anything decorative.

What we would start with

For security, in this order.

The volumes here are small and the contracts are large, so the work concentrates on being found by the few serious buyers and surviving the scrutiny that follows.

1 · Diseño Web

Unusually, this comes first for you. Traffic is worth very little if the site cannot survive being forwarded to a director. Separate pages for corporate guarding, executive protection, events and consulting, verifiable credentials stated plainly, your own photography, named leadership, and something a buyer can send internally.

How we build sites →

2 · SEO

The searches that matter are specific: security company plus your city, executive protection, event security, guarding for a particular sector. Each deserves its own page rather than one services page listing everything. Volumes are modest and intent is very high, which is the most winnable combination there is.

How we do SEO →

3 · LinkedIn

The one social platform that earns its place in this sector. Your leadership visible and credible, the company present where facilities managers and operations directors actually spend their working day. This is relationship ground rather than campaign ground, and it compounds slowly.

How we run social →

4 · Google Ads

Narrow and deliberate. A few high-intent terms, your city, business hours, and a landing page written for a buyer rather than a homepage. Because contracts are long, a cost per enquiry that would be alarming in another industry can be perfectly rational in yours. We work that out with your numbers before spending anything.

Worth moving on early

AEO · being the answer when somebody asks

Procurement research increasingly starts by asking an assistant which security companies operate in a city and which are licensed for a particular kind of work. The reply names two or three firms and becomes the shortlist before anybody visits a website.

Being named means your credentials, coverage and services are structured so an assistant can read and cite them. In a sector where the shortlist is everything, this is worth moving on before your competitors do.

What changes

What working looks like for you.

These are the things we report on, because they are the things we control. Whether a proposal becomes a contract depends on your pricing and your team, and that stays yours.

01

You are on the shortlist before the call

You rank for the specific services you sell in the cities you cover, so you are among the companies a buyer finds when the mandate lands on their desk. We report the positions by service and how they moved.

02

The enquiries that arrive are qualified

Fewer, better conversations. Because the pages state what you are licensed for and which sectors you serve, the people who contact you have already matched themselves to what you do rather than calling to ask.

03

You survive being checked

When a buyer searches your company name or your director before signing, what they find is your own material rather than nothing at all. That is difficult to measure in a chart and it is frequently what decides a contract.

04

You know what an enquiry costs

When ads are running you see tracked actions and cost per action in your own account. With contracts measured in years, that number tells you quickly whether the channel is worth keeping open.

Where we deliver

Security, in your market.

A firm in Panama City sells to banks, logistics operators and international companies, often in English as well as Spanish. A firm in Medellín sells to a fast-growing corporate and residential market. Campaigns are built for the market you actually operate in.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Hardly anyone searches for what we do. Is this worth it?▾
That is the right question and the answer is arithmetic rather than opinion. If your category gets a few hundred searches a month in your city and a contract is worth what security contracts are worth, capturing a small share of them changes your year. We will show you the actual volumes for your services before you commit, and if they do not justify the work we will say so.
We cannot name our clients. Does that limit what you can do?▾
Not really, and we would not ask you to. Credibility here comes from what you can state about yourself rather than who you protect: licences, years operating, headcount, screening and training standards, response times, insurance, sectors served. Anonymised descriptions of the kind of work you do are fine and often enough. Discretion is a selling point, not an obstacle.
Our work comes through referrals and tenders. Why change?▾
You should not change it, you should support it. Even a referred buyer looks you up before the meeting, and a tender committee will search you before scoring the submission. The work here mostly makes sure that what they find matches what you claim. The new enquiries are a second benefit rather than the only one.
Is social media appropriate for a security company?▾
LinkedIn, yes, and it is genuinely useful because your buyers are there in a professional capacity. Instagram and similar platforms rarely earn their time in this sector, and we will tell you that rather than sell you a package that includes them. Posting operational details anywhere is a risk, and any programme we run would be built around that.
Should we publish our licence and registration details?▾
Yes, clearly and where a buyer will find them without hunting. In a sector with informal operators, being visibly registered and insured is a competitive advantage rather than an administrative detail. Buyers who are comparing you against a cheaper unlicensed alternative need something concrete to justify choosing you.
We handle executive protection. How do we market that discreetly?▾
Carefully, and mostly by describing capability rather than activity. No principals, no routes, no details of past assignments. What that page needs to establish is that you do this work seriously, who leads it, what training your people hold and how a confidential first conversation happens. Anyone who needs this service is already thinking about discretion, so demonstrating it is part of the pitch.
How long before I see results?▾
A rebuilt site changes how many of your existing enquiries convert as soon as it is live. Search rankings take weeks to months, and in this sector they often move faster than average because so few competitors publish anything substantial. Expect the buying cycle itself to add time: an enquiry in March may be a contract in June.
Who would I actually be working with?▾
Aylin Benítez, directly, from the first conversation through to the monthly reviews. She responds personally in 2 business days or less and works in Spanish or English. Delivery is handled by the specialist teams behind Media Saga, so you are not passed to a junior once the contract is signed.

Aylin spent her career in marketing and in enterprise marketing software sales, working with major brands and companies throughout Latin America. She has sat across the table from marketing directors defending a budget and reporting results upward, which means she already knows what a plan has to look like before anyone can say yes to it.

For a business selling to corporate buyers that matters more than usual. She has been the supplier being evaluated and the person building the internal case, so she understands what your contact needs from you in order to win the argument in a room you are not in.

She works in Spanish or English, whichever you prefer, and inside your business hours. She handles your account herself from that first message through to the monthly reviews, so nobody hands you to a junior once the contract is signed.
