Digital Marketing for
Wellness and Beauty

Somebody decides where to get their hair done, which gym to join or where to book a treatment by scrolling a profile for ninety seconds. Your feed is the shop window, and the booking has to be possible at eleven at night when they decide.

Your reality

How people actually choose where to book.

This is one of the few industries where social is genuinely the primary channel rather than a supporting one, and where keeping a client matters more than winning one.

01

Your profile is the decision, not the introduction

In most industries social builds familiarity and the website closes. Here the profile does both. Somebody scrolls your last twelve posts, decides whether your work looks like what they want, and messages you from there. What they are judging is the work itself, so a feed full of promotional graphics and quotes is a feed with nothing to judge.

02

They are choosing a person as much as a place

Clients follow their stylist, their trainer, their therapist. That loyalty is the strength of this industry and its main risk, because it can walk out of the door with an employee. A business whose professionals are visible on the business account, rather than only on their own, keeps more of that relationship when somebody moves on.

03

The booking has to happen when they decide

People book appointments at night and on Sundays. If your only route is a message that gets read on Tuesday morning, some of those clients have already booked elsewhere. Whether it is a booking system or a WhatsApp somebody actually watches, the gap between deciding and being confirmed is where this industry loses most of its bookings.

04

A client who returns is worth many who do not

A salon client every six weeks, a gym member every month, a monthly facial. The first visit is rarely where the money is, which changes the entire calculation: it can be worth spending real money to win somebody who will come back for two years, and it is worth spending nothing at all to win somebody who will not.

What goes wrong

The four mistakes we see most in this industry.

The first three lose you bookings. The fourth is the one that quietly costs the most.

01

Posting promotions instead of work

Discount graphics, motivational quotes and stock images of somebody else's salon. None of it answers the only question the viewer has, which is whether your work is good. Photographs of what you actually did, on real clients, posted consistently, are the entire content strategy for most businesses in this sector.

02

Booking that lives entirely in the inbox

Every appointment arranged through a conversation, no visible availability, and the messages competing with everything else on somebody's phone. It works until you are busy, and then it becomes the reason you are losing bookings on your busiest days. Even a simple visible schedule changes this.

03

The Google Business Profile left empty

Salons, gyms and spas are chosen on a map more often than owners expect, particularly by people new to a neighbourhood. Old photos, wrong hours and unanswered reviews are costing you the client who searched peluquería cerca de mí this afternoon. It is free to fix and it is usually the fastest improvement available.

04

Chasing new clients while losing existing ones

This is the expensive one. A discount campaign that brings twenty first visits is worth less than keeping ten regulars who were drifting away. Before we recommend spending on acquisition, we would rather look at whether the people you already have are being reminded, rebooked and given a reason to return.

What we would start with

For wellness and beauty, in this order.

This is the industry where social genuinely comes first, and where the cheapest wins are usually in the things you already own.

1 · Redes Sociales

Your work photographed properly and posted consistently, your professionals visible on the business account, stories that show the place as it actually is, and messages answered quickly. For most businesses here this is not one channel among five, it is the shop window.

How we run social →

2 · SEO local

The Google Business Profile treated as a real asset, then pages for the treatments and services people search by name. This is how you reach the person who has just moved into the neighbourhood and does not follow anybody yet, and it keeps working without a monthly budget.

How we do SEO →

3 · Diseño Web

A fast page with your services and prices, your team, and booking that works on a phone at any hour. It does not need to be elaborate. It needs to load quickly, show the work, and let somebody confirm an appointment in the moment they decided to have one.

How we build sites →

4 · Facebook e Instagram Ads

Useful for a specific push: an opening, a new treatment, a quiet January, filling a new stylist's schedule. Tightly targeted to your neighbourhood, because paying to reach people who will never travel to you is the most common waste in this sector.

How we run ads →

Worth moving on early

AEO · being the answer when somebody asks

Where should I get my hair done near here, which gym is good for beginners, where can I book a massage this weekend. These are among the most natural things to ask an assistant, and the answer names two or three places.

Being named means your services, your hours, your area and your reviews are structured so an assistant can read and cite them. Very few businesses in this sector have done any of that yet.

What changes

What working looks like for you.

These are the things we report on, because they are the things we control. Whether a first visit becomes a regular depends on the chair, the room and your team, and that stays yours.

01

Your profile does the work it should

Profile visits, saves, shares and messages received, which are the numbers that actually predict bookings in this industry. Follower count is reported because you will ask, but it is not what we optimise for.

02

You appear on the map for your area

Rankings for the treatments and services you offer, and your position in local results, with the profile kept current and reviews answered.

03

Booking requests arrive and are counted

WhatsApp clicks, booking clicks and calls, tracked by source so you know whether the enquiries came from the map, the feed or a campaign.

04

You know what a new client costs

When ads are running, tracked actions and cost per action in your own account. Set that against what a returning client is worth to you and the decision about whether to keep spending answers itself.

Get a market snapshot for your studio

Before any talk of scope or price, we will pull what people in your area search for when they want what you offer, roughly how many of them there are each month, who currently holds those positions, and where the realistic gap is. Written up and sent to you. No charge.

Where we deliver

Wellness and beauty, in your market.

A salon in Panama City serves locals and a steady expat community searching in two languages. A studio in Medellín competes in one of the region's most demanding markets for beauty and aesthetics. Campaigns are built for the neighbourhood you actually draw from.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Our clients come from word of mouth. Do we need this?▾
Word of mouth is the strongest thing you have and nothing here replaces it. What it does not cover is the person who just moved into the area, or the one whose usual place let them down last week. Those people search or scroll, and they are choosing between businesses they have never heard of. That is the gap this fills.
Should we pay influencers?▾
Sometimes, and smaller is usually better. A local account with a few thousand genuinely local followers tends to produce more bookings than a larger one whose audience is spread across the country. Agree what you expect in advance, use a trackable link or code, and judge it on bookings rather than on likes. Plenty of these arrangements produce nothing and it is worth finding that out cheaply.
Our stylists have their own followings. Is that a risk?▾
It is a strength you should use and a risk you should manage, and pretending otherwise helps nobody. Feature your professionals prominently on the business account so clients associate the work with your place as well as the person. If somebody leaves, you keep more of the relationship. Trying to keep your team invisible tends to cost you bookings without protecting you.
We are an aesthetic clinic. What are we allowed to show?▾
If you offer medical or invasive treatments, the rules that apply to healthcare apply to you too, and they differ by country. Documented client consent is required for any image of a person, results should never be presented as guaranteed, and some jurisdictions restrict before and after comparisons for certain procedures. We build within those limits and ask you to confirm anything uncertain with your regulator.
Do we need a booking system?▾
Not necessarily a complicated one. What matters is that somebody deciding at ten at night can secure a time without waiting for a reply. For a small studio a well-watched WhatsApp is enough. Once several professionals share a schedule, a real system usually pays for itself in reduced no-shows alone.
How do we get more reviews?▾
Ask while the client is still delighted, which is at the chair or on the way out, and make it a single tap rather than an explanation. A short link sent by message that same afternoon works better than anything else. Reviews mentioning a specific stylist or treatment are the most persuasive to the next reader.
How long before I see results?▾
A cleaned-up Google Business Profile can change how often you appear within weeks. Consistent posting shows in profile visits and messages within a month or two. Search rankings take weeks to months. Ads bring enquiries the week they launch, which is why they suit a specific push rather than a permanent habit.
Who would I actually be working with?▾
Aylin Benítez, directly, from the first conversation through to the monthly reviews. She responds personally in 2 business days or less and works in Spanish or English. Delivery is handled by the specialist teams behind Media Saga, so you are not passed to a junior once the contract is signed.

Co-Founder

Aylin spent her career in marketing and in enterprise marketing software sales, working with major brands and companies throughout Latin America. She has sat across the table from marketing directors defending a budget and reporting results upward, which means she already knows what a plan has to look like before anyone can say yes to it.

That is why a first conversation with her feels closer to a diagnosis than a pitch. She will want to know what you offer, where your clients find you today, and what you have already tried. Then she will tell you which of the five services would change things fastest, including when the answer is that you do not need all of them.

She works in Spanish or English, whichever you prefer, and inside your business hours. She handles your account herself from that first message through to the monthly reviews, so nobody hands you to a junior once the contract is signed.
